Jan Gorjanc has experience with teaching children and teenagers as well as practice supervision.  He normally teaches around London in zones 1-3.  ABRSM syllabuses are his guidelines according to which he will prepare students for exams, taking into account their choices and abilities. His methods are engaging and interactive with a friendly and dedicated approach. At the beginning of each term achievable goals are set together with the student and/or his parents.

Jan also composes pieces for his students, most recently a duet for two harps, variations in ancient style  for harp and an easy piano piece. 

Harp:

Jan is presently in his fourth year of BMus at RCM  and can teach a complete beginner up to ABRSM Grade 8.

Composition: 

Currently studying with Haris Kittos, Jan is able to help students with their composing in terms of form, specifics of instruments, orchestration and arrangement as well as developing their own musical language.  

Music Theory, Practical Musicianship:

Jan has been studying theory actively for the past 4 years and has completed his Level 6 Stylistic Studies and Level 5 Practical Musicianship with grade I. He teaches Music Theory to a complete beginner up to ABRSM Grade 6 and Practical Musicianship up to ABRSM grade 4. He also has a good knowledge of Western classical music history.
